Overview
The Town Car comes in four trim series: Signature, Signature Limited, Designer, and Signature L. The livery and limo market gets three other unique series. The Signature L receives a 6-inch-longer wheelbase for more second-row leg room, as does the Executive L, which is only available for fleet stables. The Town Car is one of the last remaining models with a stand-up hood ornament, which has always represented class and stature. All Town Cars come with 17-inch wheels and tires and a 239-hp, 4.6-liter V-8 engine mated to a 4-speed automatic transmission. Its body-on-frame design guarantees strength, which is evidenced by the Town Car receiving a 5-star crash test rating for five years in a row in all five categories, including rollover resistance, from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
For more than 20 years, the Town Car has represented ultimate luxury for Lincoln, and the 2007 model carries on the tradition, with premium leather seating surfaces, a dual-zone automatic climate control system, extended rear park assist, a keyless entry keypad on the driver’s door, a SecuriLock anti-theft ignition immobilization system, a power pull-down trunk lid, power-adjustable pedals, and a laundry list of other features to make the time spent inside beyond comfortable. Here’s another sleeper car that delivers old-fashioned luxury, with V-8 power and rear-drive performance.
